Old Bag of Nails in Upper Arlington is hosting a beer fest this Saturday, April 14 from 12-4pm.

The event will feature what some consider the Holy Grails of stouts (Founder’s KBS) and IPA’s (Bell’s Hopslam) respectively, both of which are just about impossible to find in Central Ohio at this point in the year.

  • KBS – Founders Brewing Co (Grand Rapids, MI): An imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year. 11.2% ABV
  • Hopslam – Bell’s Brewing Co (Kalamazoo, MI): Double India Pale Ale made with six different hops varieties and a massive dry-hop, creating a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit and floral notes. 10% ABV

They will have 18 other beers on tap, including three more from Founder’s (whose Regional Market Manager, John Host, will be present with giveaways.) There will also be a complimentary appetizer buffet for all who attend.

Old Bag of Nails is located at 2102 Tremont Center in Upper Arlington.
