Eight breweries, five wineries, three distilleries and a meadery will all present be at one can’t-miss event for local libation lovers: the second annual Grandview Digfest.

The attending breweries go all the way from A to Z: Actual Brewing, Barley’s Brewing, Elevator Brewing, Hoster Brewing, Four String Brewing, Oval Brewing, Rockmill Brewing and Zauber Brewing. Digfest will be the first time Actual and Oval will have beer commercially available to the public.

Middle West Spirits and Watershed Distillery will be serving their spirits, along with Tessora Limone’s lemon liqueur and Brothers Drake’s meads. Buckeye Winery, Camelot Wines, Signature Wines, Elchrist Wines and Soine Vineyards will be present pouring vino.

It was an enjoyable event last year, though it was still clearly finding itself – a lot of the ticket booth staff and volunteer pourers had no idea what was going on or how many tickets to take for a pour, a pretty failed (and seemingly not returning) “VIP” concept wit lacking value, etc. Though I’m sure for the second year they’ve worked out some of those minor kinks.

Jared Mahone and Colin Gawel & The Lonely Bones will provide the music for the event.

Grandview Digfest takes place Saturday, June 16 from 4-10pm. The event is free to attend. Taste-sized portions of beverages will be available for $1 each tasting tickets. The event is cash only, but there will be ATMs on premises.
