Columbus wineries medal at Ohio Wine Competition

The results are in for the 2013 Ohio Wine Competition held this past Saturday by Amenti del Vino. There were a total of 247 entries with 136 receiving medals, nine of which went to Central Ohio wineries.

The Short North’s Camelot Cellars won a gold medal for its first Ohio wine (Vidal Ice Wine) made using Vidal juice from Geneva, OH.

Hidden Lakes Winery (Canal Winchester) took silver for their Glacier White, Riesling and Rip Roarin’ Raz, and bronze for Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Road House Red and Summer Red.

Wyandotte Winery took a bronze for their 2010 White Roses wine.
