woodlandsThe owners of Woodlands Tavern and Woodand’s Backyard announced today they they have acquired the Park Street Complex consisting of Park Street Patio, Park Street Saloon and The Social Room.

The Complex is a 20,000 square foot entertainment and nightclub venue with four stages (both indoor and outdoor), 10 separate bars and a 7000 sq. ft. outdoor patio with roof deck.

Woodlands will be bringing their $2 happy hour (drafts, domestics and wells) to the venue, along with a Mikey’s Late Night Slice. Woodlands will also be bringing regional and national acts to the venues various stages nightly.

The transition will kick off the weekend of October 4-6 with a packed lineup of music including The Floorwalkers, Andy Frasco & the UN, The Evan Oberla Project, Forest & the Evergreens, and Ekoostic Hookah with The Spikedrivers. Several other acts are slated to perform throughout the weekend.

Full disclosure: Woodlands is a client of mine, so I normally wouldn’t write about them on here, but this was big news for the Columbus bar scene that I thought warranted sharing.

Glad to hear this. Was never a fan of Park Street “drunk slutty girls in no clothes dancing to techno” even when I was in college. Hopefully this brings some good live acts and decent drinks to the North Arena District
