new belgium fat tireFat Tire fans won’t have to wait much longer: New Belgium Brewing is coming to Columbus in December.

“Expansion at our Fort Collins brewery has allowed us to enter the Ohio market, and we couldn’t be more excited about it,” said Brian Krueger, New Belgium’s Sales Co-Pilot, in a statement. “Columbus has a great craft beer scene and we’re looking forward to contributing everything we can to help grow that further with the help of Superior Beverage.”

New Belgium’s beer will be available in Central Ohio beginning December 16. Initial offerings include 22-ounce bottles of Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Trippel and Lips of Faith, plus draft offerings of Fat Tire, Ranger IPA and Accumulation White IPA.

New Belgium will also be releasing new packaging in Ohio. The new design, created by Hatch Design of San Francisco, featuring illustration by artist Leah Giberson, will appear on all brands and packages. Ohio beer drinkers will get an early firsthand look at the new artwork when New Belgium arrives in December, with the packaging rolling out to the rest of the country in January.

Special tappings and events are planned for the week of the launch – details forthcoming.
