Zauber_interiorAfter months of anticipation, Zauber Brewing Co is moving on up from its small alley growler room to a deluxe apartment in the sky – well, at least to a full bar and taproom around the corner.

The bar, which occupies the former Reed Arts Building on 5th Avenue in the Grandview area, opens several months later than planned due to construction delays, permitting issues related to the government shutdown and other hassles. Zauber received its final piece of legalese, a liquor license, this morning.

Initially Zauber will continue brewing in limited quantities on its existing small brewing equipment. A much larger brewing system is planned to arrive in the next couple of months, at which time Zauber will increase production.

The soft opening of the bar is slated for 4pm on Saturday, January 4. The Aromaku food truck will be on site, and the bar will feature rotating food trucks daily going forward.

Zauber is located at 909 West Fifth Avenue, and will be open Monday-Thursday 11am-11pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-12am and Sunday 11am-7pm.

full disclosure: Zauber is a client
