The Land-Grant Brewing Company announced today the grand opening of their taproom and brewery will take place October 18.
The Franklinton brewery includes an 8,000 square foot production floor with a 20bbl brew house, plus a 3,200 square foot taproom with interior seating capacity of 99 in addition to an outdoor patio area. The brewery will launch with their four flagship beers: Stiff-Arm IPA, Greenskeeper Session IPA, Son of a Mudder Brown Ale and 1862 Ale, an American Kolsch.
Details for the grand opening are still being finalized but will be posted to a Facebook event page leading up to the launch. Following the grand opening, the taproom will be open Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30pm-midnight, Fridays from 3:30pm-2am, Saturdays from 9am-2am and Sundays from 11am-Midnight. Food trucks will regularly serve on-site.
“Since day one, we’ve envisioned building a space where we can not only produce great beer, but where the community can come together to enjoy and discuss great beer.” Land-Grant President Adam Benner said in a statement this morning. “This is a day we’ve been looking forward to for a very long time.”
After funding a successful Kickstarter back in 2012, Land-Grant faced several challenges in opening, including changing their original name, Oval Brewing, as well as relocating from their planned location in Grandview Yard.
The Land-Grant Brewing Company is located at 424 W. Town Street.
