Knotty-Pine-BrewingGrandview is getting another craft brewery, as the former Knotty Pine bar – which most recently operated as Rude Dog Bar & Grill – is reopening as Knotty Pine Brewing this weekend.

New owner Jay Kessler purchased the bar from friend and former colleague Jason Lusk, who owns the other two Rude Dog locations as well as The Crafty Pint in Linworth.

Knotty Pine Brewing is running a soft opening this Saturday from 5-9 pm, featuring food only – no alcohol. Menu items include pizza, burgers, veal short ribs, pork tenderloin and turkey ragu. Knotty Pine has a call to the community out on its Facebook page for additional recipes to feature.

The bar intends to open for good next Tuesday, March 10. The brewery’s own beers – an IPA and a session ale to start – will not be available for a few more weeks pending regulatory approval, but guest drafts and cocktails will be served.

Plans for a pour-your-own Bloody Mary brunch on Saturdays and Sunday are also in the works.
