The Daily GrowlerThe Daily Growler is opening a third Columbus location this fall in the German Village/Brewery District neighborhood.

The third TDG will be located in an historic building at 702 S High St. This new location will bring key elements from The Daily Growler’s existing Upper Arlington and Powell stores, including more than 50 craft beer taps from across America with an emphasis on Ohio breweries. The two-story space will include a smaller second bar upstairs, space for private events and a large wrap-around patio.

“The German Village and Brewery District location presents a great opportunity to bring our growler bar concept to an urban, central city location,” said owner John Blakely in a statement. “We’re looking forward to serving fast casual beer to a new part of Columbus.”

New to this TDG location will be an on-site kitchen operated by Athens-based Big Mamma’s Burritos, an Ohio University student favorite for the past decade. The kitchen will launch with menu items from the original Athens location but will be refined and expanded based on neighborhood feedback.

“Beer and burritos are the bedrocks of American society,” said Big Mamma’s owner Quinn Schaller in a statement.
