Did you know that Gahanna is Ohio’s herb capital? Did you even know there was such a thing as an “herb capital”? To help promote the city’s herbal honors, Gahanna will debut the Herbal Cocktail Trail this week.
The Herbal Cocktail Trail will offer an opportunity to experience the flavors of Ohio herbs like mint and basil added to spirits and beers at eight participating area locations, each of which will feature a different drink. Participating bars and restaurants include 101 Beer Kitchen Gahanna (Herb Trail Limeade), El Arepazo Gahanna (Cuca Fresca), Barrel and Boar Gahanna (The Porch Swing), Kindred Artisan Ales (Smoking Gun), Old Bag of Nails Gahanna (Blueberry Basil Delight), Pigskin Brew Co. (Cool Runnings), Signatures Mill Stone Tavern (The Karate Cowboy), and Somedays Bistro and Wine Bar (French 75).
The trail, which kicks off February 1, is presented by Visit Gahanna, the city’s convention and visitors bureau.
Pick up an Herbal Cocktail Trail Passport at any of the participating partner businesses or at the Visit Gahanna Visitor Center, located at 167 Mill Street, to get started on the trail. Participants who collect six passport stamps by purchasing any six of the eight signature cocktails by the end of 2017 will receive a commemorative cocktail glass.

What a great idea! My wife and I just got our first two punches in our passports tonight!
Great drink at Barrel & Boar but they don’t have passports to stamp, and the visitors center closed early on Friday.. so I missed an opportunity to stamp my passport (that I have yet to get).
**Barrel & Boar found their passports and hole punch, and a great time was had by all!
