Locally owned spirits brand Karate Cowboy is bringing production of their products to Columbus.

Parent company Revolution Experiment will soon begin producing their products at the recently expanded Middle West Spirits facility. Previously, Karate Cowboy products were contracted out to a distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.

“What we’ve come to learn over the last year and a half is that we’re really passionate about testing out and experimenting with our product; which can be very difficult when we’re hours away,” said CEO Mark Tinus in a statement. “We’ve found a great partner that has invested in their own capabilities, which will bring major improvements to our core product.”

Karate Cowboy will be one a few select brands that Middle West Spirits will produce outside of their own line of products.

“The opportunity to work with Matt on the Karate Cowboy project is right in our wheelhouse,” said Brady Konya, GM & Co-founder of Middle West Spirits in a statement. “After operating in the spirits category for over seven years, and with our most recent expansion nearly complete, we’re excited to share some of our lessons and new capabilities with another homegrown Ohio company.”

Revolution Experiment currently produces two flavors of Karate Cowboy: Honey Wasabi and Ginger Mint. A new product is slated to be announced soon.
