The Ohio State Fair is right around the corner and this year’s event will kick off with a beer fest.

The first day of the fair this year will feature the Hometown Sounds and Craft Beer Fest, boasting a dozen breweries from around the state: Black Cloister, Columbus Brewing, Great Lakes, Fat Head’s, Jackie O’s, MadTree, Maumee Bay, Four String, Rhinegeist, Warped Wing, Yellow Springs and Little Fish Brewing. Each brewery will be pouring two brews for a total of 24 different beers.

The beer tasting will begin at 4pm and the fest will feature live music from McGuffey Lane, Erica Blinn, and Colin Gawel & The League Bowlers starting at 7pm.

Patrons can purchase 10 tickets for $20, and each ticket buys a 3-ounce pour. The first 1,500 attendees will receive a commemorative 5-ounce tasting mug.

Hometown Sounds and Craft Beer Fest will take place on Wednesday, July 26 at 4pm. The 2017 Ohio State Fair will run July 26-August 6 at the Ohio Expo Center.
