Craft Brew at the Zoo

Lions and tigers and beers, oh my! The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will combine craft beers with adorable animals at the 4th annual Brew at the Zoo.

The event will feature pours from Ohio breweries including Columbus Brewing (the event’s presenting sponsor), Four String Brewing and Rivertown Brewing as well as Harpoon, Leinenkugel’s, Long Trail, New Belgium, Oskar Blues, Small Town Brewery, SweetWater and Southern Tier.

90s rock band The Spin Doctors will perform at the event, and local food trucks will serve on-site.

Note that this isn’t a “traditional” beer fest with unlimited (or virtually unlimited) sampling; rather, general admission ($45) includes two 16-ounce beers, plus all-day zoo admission and The Spin Doctors show. VIP tickets are also available ($70) which include four 16-ounce beers, access to private beer stations and specialty kegs, and catered food from 6-8pm from Roosters. Additional beers will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased online.

Brew at the Zoo will take place Friday, August 25 from 6-11pm at the Columbus Zoo, located at 4850 Powell Road.
