Rick’s picks: 50 Must Try Craft Beers in Ohio

Written by on October 6, 2017 in Beer - 1 Comment

Akron-based journalist Rick Armon is back with a new book: Fifty Must-Try Craft Beers of Ohio.

The book provides a detailed history of each of the fifty featured Ohio brews, plus brewery spotlights, beer industry profiles, food pairings and more. Many of the featured beers hail from Central Ohio, including Barley’s Scottish Ale, Elevator’s Ghost Scorpion Lager, Columbus Brewing’s Bodhi and Wolf’s Ridge’s Clear Sky.

Armon, who runs The Ohio Beer Blog for the Akron-Beacon Journal, also authored the book Ohio Breweries back in 2011.

The Ohio Taproom is hosting a discussion and book signing with Armon on Sunday, October 8 at 2pm. Tickets are available online for $25 and include a signed copy of the book, three samples of beers featured in the book and a 1/2 pint.

Fifty Must-Try Craft Beers of Ohio is available at many area book stores and the 238-page book retails for $19.95.
