Watershed Distillery is rolling out the latest addition to their liquid lineup, a two year aged apple brandy crafted from Ohio apples.

According to the distillery, it’s the first apple brandy produced in Central Ohio in over 100 years.

“Brandy, and specifically apple brandy, was once among the most prevalent spirits in the United States, but slowly fell out of favor when whiskey production began to dominate the thousands of small distilleries dotted throughout the country,” the distillery said in a statement.

Watershed’s apple brandy was produced using all Ohio apples grown within 150 miles of the distillery. Bottles of the 80-proof spirit will retail for $39.95.

The distillery will host a launch block party for the new brandy on October 22 from 12-5pm, featuring Apple Brandy cocktails with fall favorites like hay barrels and bobbing for apples. Tickets are available online for $25 ($10 for DDs) which includes food and two drink tickets.

Watershed Distillery is located at 1145 Chesapeake Ave in the Grandview area.
