Specialty Import Beer Dinner at Matt the Miller’s

Matt the Miller’s Tavern in Grandview is hosting another beer pairing dinner – this time with specialty beer importer Merchant du Vin – on Tuesday, February 28 from 7-9pm:

Opening Reception
Assorted Fruits, Cheeses, and Vegetable Crudités
House-Made Pretzel Bites served with Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale mustard sauce
Paired with: Samuel Smith’s Nut Brown Ale

First Course
Seared Duck Breast Flatbread
Tender, sliced duck breast, resting on top of a smooth and creamy apple-Roquefort mousse, and topped with micro greens, smoked pecans, and Orval Trappist Ale reduction
Paired with: Orval Trappist Ale

Entrée Course
Jamaican Pork Spareribs
Louis style pork spareribs, rubbed with sweet and spicy Jamaican jerk seasoning, braised and served with potato pancakes and stewed cabbage
Paired with: Rochefort Brewery Trappist 8
or
Beef Wellington
Beef tenderloin, wrapped in prosciutto parma, pate de foie gras, and flaky puff pastry. Served with maple glazed carrots and crispy fried leeks
Paired with: Rochefort Brewery Trappist 10

Dessert Course
Royal Bomb
Raspberry Center Custard Bomb made with Champagne- swirl ice cream and covered with vanilla candied almonds.
Paired with: Lindeman’s Framboise Lambic
