Trattoria Roma

Trattoria Roma has been serving classic Italian cuisine in the heart of Grandview Heights for over 25 years, but it’s just this summer that the restaurant rolled out brunch service to give weekend warriors a place to day drink and dine on delicious Italian dishes.

Several brunch beverages are available at Trattoria Roma. In addition to a classic mimosa, they offer a Grand Mimosas with Grand Marnier, pineapple mango mimosas, classic bellinis with peach nectar, blood orange bellinis, bloody marys, Irish Breakfasts (orange juice with Jameson and butterscotch schnapps), and Espressotinis (espresso, Kahlua, vanilla vodka. The pineapple mango and blood orange bevvies were both delightful, and both were heavy on the bubbles.

An order of brown sugar cinnamon rolls ($4) will give you the brunch bread basket you never knew you wanted, served with a creamy vanilla icing.

Trattoria Roma offers about a dozen dishes on their brunch menu, including biscuits and gravy, a breakfast wrap and French Italian toast, plus a selection of pasta dishes. I tried the Eggs Orfeo, a tasty variant on an Eggs Benedict with a poached egg, avocado hollandaise and grilled capicolla on an english muffin.
