Cincinnati’s historic S.N. Pikes Magnolia spirits brand is being revitalized in Columbus.
Established in 1849 in Cincinnati, the historic S.N. Pikes Magnolia brand is being revived by Columbus resident Ed Carey in partnership with Gahanna-area Noble Cut Distillery.
Carey, a retired real estate developer and bourbon aficionado, become fascinated with the S.N. Pikes story and was inspired to recreate the brand, according to a press release.
Noble Cut is producing the spirits under the Magnolia brand: a bottled-in-bond 95% rye whiskey aged over four years retailing for $54, and a straight 45% wheated bourbon aged over three years retailing for $49.
“We are extremely excited to release this product and are excited for more people to find out about it,” said Noble Cut owner Tony Guilfoy in a statement.
Both Magnolia spirits are currently available for tastings and purchase at Noble Cut, and are expected to be available at Central Ohio liquor agencies later this month.
Noble Cut is located at 750 Cross Pointe Rd, Suite K.
