BrewDog New Albany now open

After a week of soft opening events, the BrewDog pub in New Albany is set to officially open tonight, August 26, at 6pm.

The brewpub offers seating for more than 300 inside, and another 300+ outside., with indoor and outdoor firepits, shuffle board tables and arcade games. If you have been to other BrewDog locations, you will instantly recognize the 24-tap bar and the familiar listing of BrewDog and guest beers. The food menu is replete with burgers, wings, tacos, and salads and even a lobster dinner.

The timing for the grand opening works out well as this Saturday, New Albany will be dedicating their $17 million Rose Run Park which is immediately adjacent to BrewDog. Saturday is also New Albany Founders Day with parades, carnival rides, petting zoo, and even Brutus Buckeye; all nearby the brewpub. Just three days later is the dedication of brand new $7 million, 800 seat Hinson Amphitheater. With the amphitheater located directly across the street, Brewdoggers will be able to enjoy a beer on the BrewDog patio while enjoying the concert.

In other BrewDog news, this Saturday is Brewdog’s Annual General Mayhem blowout. Nominally, a ‘shareholders meeting’ with a BrewDog business update from owners James Watt and Martin Dickie, it devolves into a massive beer festival with live music provided by 10 different bands, more than a dozen food trucks, plus loads of guest breweries, many of which will provide tasting sessions. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Note that BrewDog will be requiring proof of vaccination to enter the event. It is held at the BrewDog brewery campus in Canal Winchester at 96 Gender Road. The event begins at 11am and ends at 10pm.
