Sometimes bars, alcohol producers or event hosts will give us a free drink or ticket. This doesn’t guarantee that we will cover them, or that we will say nice things if we do. We don’t always disclose when we got a free thing, because jesus, it’s the only perk some of us get.

We have ads on the site. Advertising on Drink Up Columbus doesn’t guarantee that we will cover you, or that we will say nice things if we do.

We don’t often use affiliate links, but we do occasionally. Gotta pay that hosting bill somehow. We’ll only affiliate link you to products we think are awesome.

Since we are passionate about this stuff, some of us work with boozy businesses outside of writing for Drink Up Columbus. Those individuals usually won’t write about the businesses they work for, but sometimes do out of necessity, and it’s usually disclosed doubly in the article.
