After a year in the making, Kindred’s first two sour brews are finally ready to be released.

The sours include Wanderlust, a saison with peaches and Riesling must; and Spring Thaw, a golden ale with pinot noir grape skins. Both were fermented and aged in chardonnay barrels.

“These are finally the beers that we are ready to release,” said Barrel House Manager Patrick Gangwer in a statement. “I can’t wait for other people to actually try them and to get their feedback.”

The sours will be available at a June 3 release party at Kindred’s tasting room and barrel house starting at noon. 500ml bottles will retail for $13-$15, and a limited quantity of both beers will also be served on draft at the event. Kindred Beer is located at 505 Morrison Rd in Gahanna.
