Ohio Legislation to Allow Guns in Bars Will Likely Pass

From the Dispatch:

Yesterday, a House committee approved Senate Bill 17, which would allow permit-holders to take guns into bars, restaurants, museums, stadiums and other areas where alcohol is served. The bill prohibits gun-strapped patrons from entering an alcohol-serving establishment drunk or to drink alcohol while there. The full House is expected to approve the bill today… if the bill reaches Kasich, ‘The governor is a gun owner and a strong Second Amendment supporter, and while we always review legislation before making a final decision, he supports this concept,’ Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols said.

Personally, I like the only Bulleit in bars I visit to come in a bottle. The only shots to come in a glass. The only barrels to hold my beer. I could do this all day.

What do you think about Ohio possibly allowing guns in bars?

Not that guns not being allowed in bars would have prevented this.. http://www.abc6onyourside.com/shared/newsroom/top_stories/videos/wtte_vid_11787.shtml But who is going to want to be the bar employee that has to monitor to make sure that someone with a gun isn’t drinking? Is the bar then responsible for checking to ensure that all guns are being carried legally?
