Founders Beer Pairing Dinner at Matt The Miller’s

Matt the Miller’s Tavern in Grandview is hosting another beer pairing dinner – this time with Founders Brewing – on Monday November 21 from 7-9pm. John Host from Founders will be at the event to share information about the various beers being paired with the menu designed by Chef Brian McCafferty.

Opening Reception
Assorted Fruits, Cheeses, and Vegetable Crudités
House-Made Pretzel Bites served with Founder’s Centennial IPA mustard sauce
Paired with: Founder’s Centennial IPA

First Course
Flatbread shell with candied lemon and roasted poblano mousse, topped with Chimichurri-grilled lamb loin, caramelized onions, and finished with herbed goat cheese.
Paired with: Founder’s Devil Dancer

Entrée Course
Beef Brisket Duet:

  • Dirty bastard braised beef brisket, served with Cajun dirty rice, stewed collard greens with Tasso ham, and bastard jus.
    Paired with: Founder’s Dirty Bastard
  • Smoked and roasted beef brisket with peach-Backwoods Bastard barbecue, whipped sweet potatoes toasted pecans, and stewed green beans
    Paired with: Founder’s Backwoods Bastard

Dessert Course
Belgian waffles made with Ohio maple syrup and vanilla bean, served hot with a frozen cappuccino mousse, and candied bacon
Paired with: Founder’s Breakfast Stout
