I’ve been excited for a while about the opening of Zauber Brewing, aka Z Beers, the brainchild of owner and brewmaster Geoff Towne. While the “official” opening will likely take place later this month, Geoff told us that Zauber is having a soft opening this Thursday March 15 at the Jury Room. You’ll have the chance to try Zauber’s “Vertigo,” a German-style Hefeweizen. The beer will be available as soon as the bar opens at 11am.
The rest of the Z beers – Buxom Blonde, a Belgian ale; Stodgy Brown; Magnum Opus, another Belgian; and Myopia, a Red Ale – will be available in growlers from the brewery and at Central Ohio bars (including the rest of the Columbus Food League restaurants, Woodlands Tavern and Village Idiot) in the weeks to come.
