Hoof Hearted Keg Leakin Weekend

The latest brewery to open in Columbus – Hoof Hearted Brewing – will be tapping their operation this weekend with a “Keg Leakin Weekend.”

The beer leaking out of said kegs is Hoof Hearted’s inaugural offering, Musk of the Minotaur IPA.

“We wanted something that was over the top aromatic with some of those earthy aromas but also some great grapefruit, green citruis, stonefruit,” said co-founder Trevor Williams. “We did also pay pretty close attention to the malt bill, but we want the malt to be the convertible and the hops are sticking their heads out of the convertible.”

Here’s the keg leakin lineup:
Friday, May 18 @ Hide-A-Way Hills Lodge (Hocking County)
Saturday, May 19 @ Ace of Cups
Sunday, May 20 @ Double Happiness
Monday, May 21 @ The Rakes End (Cincinnati)

The Saturday party at Ace of Cups may also include a taste of their Permafrost Wheat Porter. Bands Sweatheart & Kock 107 will be providing the tunage for the festivities.

If you can’t make it, don’t worry – you should be able to try Hoof Hearted soon.

“We are hoping to send some stuff out to Dirty Franks and Jury room next week,” added Williams. “Our delays have forced us to have to drink up our older inventory (oh the humanity) that was getting long in the tooth because we want our first kegs out the door super fresh and killer.”
