I love to destination drink. In the past couple of months alone I’ve visited Grand Rapids, Fort Collins and Pittsburgh, with the primary objective being to visit as many breweries as possible in the three or four days I was in town.
It’s kind of a pain in the ass to do, though. First, you need to find a list of all the area breweries and narrow down to the ones you want, and if you want to do tours of any of the breweries, you need to research if and when they are offered.
A new website can help plan your path to the next pint: BrewTrail. Simply select a state to view all of the breweries in that state by city, and whethere or not the brewery offers tours and tastings. Choose the ones you want to visit and BrewTrail will generate a route for you to take to hit them all.

The biggest thing missing from the site for me is brewery HOURS. The most convenient route between breweries is only convenient if every brewery is open when you arrive. In Pittsburgh, for example, we planned our Saturday to visit four breweries along a route we mapped out using Google, but by the time we got to the third they were closed – at 5pm. On a Saturday?!
Aside from that though, BrewTrail is a good place to start for your next beercation – or even your exploration of Columbus breweries.
