August 2 is National Mead Day and there’s no better place to celebrate than at Columbus’ own Brothers Drake Meadery.

In honor of the occasion, Brothers Drake will be debuting a Bourbon Barrel Aged Peach Rush mead and a Brioso Coffee mead, both of which will be released at 11am.

Activities are scheduled throughout the day, with mead making demos and production tours starting at noon; free honey samples, free waffles and free coffee tastings; and several local arts and crafts vendors on-site.

Live music will be provided during the day by The Devil Doves, and The Sacred Shimmy Belly Dancers will be performing. Forest & the Evergreens will take the stage at 10pm.

National Mead Day is Saturday, August 2, 2014.
