beer golf scrambleIn the spirit of Columbus Craft Beer Week, local beer distributors are coming together for the Columbus Craft Beer Cup, a charity golf outing benefiting Ruling Out eXperiences on May 1.

Teams of four will gather for an 18-hole scramble golf tournament featuring a beer tasting from sponsoring distributors at every hole. Yeah you read that right, that means 18 different tastings.

Ruling Our Experiences is a nonprofit that focuses on empowering girls through professional development for educators and teachers, research and evaluation. The organzation deals with challenges facing young women from elementary school through high school such as confidence and self-esteem, healthy relationships, online safety, stress and coping, career development and leadership.

Cavalier distributing, Glazer’s, Premium Beverage Supply, Rampant and Superior Beverage Group will be pouring tastings at the event.

The golf outing will take place at Safari Golf Club on Powell Road and registration costs $225 a team. The cost including 18 holes, golf cart rental, boxed lunches and beer tastings for all four members of the team. Registration ends April 17register online here.
