Rhinegeist opening Columbus nanobrewery

rhinegeistRhinegeist is bringing more than their beers to Columbus – they’re bringing a small brewing operation, too.

Rhinegeist co-owner Bryant Goulding told The Ohio Beer Blog that Rhinegeist is adding nanobrewery to their Columbus distribution warehouse, which will be used for experimental batches and beers exclusive to the Columbus market. The nanobrewery will not be open to the public.

Rhinegeist began leasing their 17,000 square-foot distribution warehouse north of downtown Columbus back in March, and immediately starting hiring a sales and distribution team for the market. The brewery is installing a new 60 barrel brewhouse in Cincinnati that will allow them to grow from 11,000 barrels produced in 2014 to upwards of 30,000 barrels in 2015.
