four string starbreakerJust in time for Columbus Pride weekend, Four String Brewing Company has released a beer to benefit the local LGBT community.

The Rye Apricot Ale, dubbed Starbreaker, is described as a “refreshing rye beer conditioned with apricots, then dry hopped to accentuate the fresh citrus peel and melon aromatics. Sweet malt notes elevate layers of ripe fruit flavor that finishes slightly tart. A beer for those times when denim and leather need that extra touch of glam. Look out, here’s Starbreaker.”

Starbreaker clocks in at 5.8% ABV and 15 IBUs. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Starbreaker will be donated to a local LGBT organization.

The following bars will have Starbreaker on tap this week – keep an eye out for the rainbow tap handles: The Three-Legged Mare, Tatoheads Public House, Local Cantina (Clintonville & Grandview), Local Bar, Little Rock, Seventh Son Brewing, The Pearl, Westies Gastropub, Bodega, Tip Top, The Ohio Taproom, The Pint House, The Crest, The Walrus, Olde Town Tavern, The Chintz Room, 16-Bit Bar + Arcade, Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza, Bakersfield, Yellow Brick Pizza, Club Diversity, Bob’s Bar, St. James Tavern, Carabar, The Shrunken Head, Double Happiness and House Beer.

Thank you for supporting the LGBT community. Can you please let me know what percentage will be donated back to the community? We at Geer Gas appreciate the support.
