Here’s a hypothesis: when the mad scientists at Actual Brewing decide to throw an adult science fair, the resulting conclusion will be a good time for all.
I can only hope there will be tri-fold poster boards.
Actual is setting up six interactive science stations for their upcoming “amateur immature” adult science fair. You’ll be able to build-your-own marshmallow catapult, create slime, play a beer glass harp, erupt a vinegar volcano, wire a potato clock and blow dry ice bubbles.
Experiments from the public are not being solicited, but owner Fred Lee says some people have expressed interest in bringing one, so there may be a few more projects added.
“We wanted to make a fun science event where we could use our hands, drink some beer and reminisce about the days of science before the Higgs boson and flavor changing neutrinos,” said Lee. “This is the first event of a few science themed events we’re having this year.”
Lee says drone races and maker fairs are some of the other events Actual is working on for this year.
The Science Fair will take place Saturday, February 27 from 2-9pm at Actual Brewing Company, located at 655 N. James Rd.
