Columbus is no stranger to the bar slash arcade concept, with 16-Bit, Old North Arcade, Level One Bar, Arcade Super Awesome, Pins — and maybe even more that I’m forgetting — all emerging within the last couple of years. All offer a slightly different vibe and are fairly spread out across Columbus, though, so the latest addition to the scene, Brewcadia, is still a welcome one, as it’s the first gaming and drinking establishment in the Short North, and the only one with direct ties to a brewery.

Brewcadia, located above and owned by Barley’s Brewing Company, officially opened yesterday. Brewcadia offers 40 draft beers, about 20% of which are Barley’s brews, plus a wide selection of other local and regional crafts. There are also cocktails with concept-appropriate names like “Princess Peach Manhattan” and “Link’s Libation.” For entertainment, the bar offers 30 free-play videos games, about 20 board games, a handful of pinball tables (quarters required), and SKEE-BALL! Brewcadia will also be adding a pizza kitchen in the coming weeks.

Brewcadia is open Monday-Sunday from 4pm-2am. Brewcadia is located at 467 N High Street.

full disclosure: Brewcadia is a client
