columbus craft beerWith over 30 craft breweries in Central Ohio today, it’s easy to forget that five years ago, there were five.

Fortunately, a few of the early pioneers of craft beer in Columbus are still active in the scene and are ready to share stories about how they got involved with craft beer, what it was like working in the industry before it was “cool”, and how it’s felt to watch a new generation of breweries emerge.

One week from today during Columbus Craft Beer Week, I’m moderating a discussion featuring Scott Francis (currently: Temperance Row/Winemaker’s Shop, formerly: CBC, Barley’s, Smokehouse), Angelo Signorino (currently: Barley’s, formerly: Smokehouse/Winemaker’s Shop), Victor Ecimovich (Hoster) and Lenny Kolada (currently: Smokehouse/Commonhouse, formerly: Barley’s). Ohio’s Craft Beers author Paul Gaston will also be at the event for a book signing.

Tickets are $14 (plus service charge) and include a flight of beers from each of the panelist’s breweries. There are only 20 tickets left so snag yours while you still can!

The panel will take place Tuesday, May 17 from 6-7:30pm at Smokehouse Brewing Company, located at 1130 Dublin Road.
