Deschutes Street Pub

Deschutes Brewery is bringing its massive mobile pub to Columbus this July for their second annual Street Pub tour.

The Oregon-based Deschutes Brewery will set up a “pop-up pub of epic proportions” on July 9 from 2-10pm at Genoa Park. A 402-foot custom bar will be pouring beers from 60 taps, including a guest tap from Land-Grant Brewing. The brewery’s corporate executive chef, Jeff Usinowicz, is also teaming up with local chefs including Mike Suclescy of 101 Beer Kitchen and Chris DeVol of The Thurman Café to create dishes to complement the many beers being served, which range from their new summer seasonal Hop Slice Session IPA to a three-year vertical of Deschutes imperial Black Butte Porter Anniversary beers.

Live music will be featured from Mojoflo, The 4ontheFloor, Brave Weather and The Buzzard Kings, and Oregon-based McKenzie SewOn will be creating live, one-off local prints at the event.

In addition to Columbus, the Deschutes Street Pub tour is stopping in Arlington, Philadelphia, Chicago, Twin Cities and Sacramento this year. For each pop-up pub, Deschutes works with a local charity; in Columbus, 100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, and the brewery expects their donation will provide approximately 200,000 meals to the community.

The brewery is currently seeking volunteers for the event, who will be rewarded with brewery swag, food, and, of course, beer. You can find details and sign up at this link.

The event is free to attend and open to guests of all ages. VIP tickets are available to purchase for $40 ($60 if you also want a t-shirt) which include access to rare beer tasting led by a Deschutes brewer.

The Deschutes Street Pub will set up shop in Columbus on Saturday, July 9 from 2–10pm at Genoa Park, located at 303 W Broad Street.
