Columbus Brewing Company’s award-winning Bodhi Double IPA has a cult following in Columbus, and ‘When are you guys going to bottle Bodhi?’ is likely the question most asked of CBC’s staff. That day has finally come: a Bodhi bottle release event is planned for Saturday, July 16.
Tickets to the event are pricey at $100, but each includes an entire case of Bodhi (24 12-ounce bottles); a Bodhi t-shirt, pint glass and tote bag; and two draft CBC beers at the event. CBC will have Bodhi, CBC IPA, Thunderlips, SFW Farmhouse Ale, Ales for ALS 2016, “BBB” Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Dark and multiple infused Bodhi variants on-tap for the release. Food trucks will also be serving on-site, and Designated Driver tickets will be available for $25, which include a Bodhi t-shirt and $5 food voucher.
CBC will split the release into two seperate sessions: 1:30-4:30pm and 6:00-9:00pm, both on Saturday, July 16 at Columbus Brewing Company’s production brewery, located at 2555 Harrison Road.
Tickets for this highly-anticipated bottle release are meant to go on sale Thursday, July 7 at noon at beerfesttickets.com/bodhi; however, due to a glitch that it seems the brewery is working to remedy, I was able to purchase a ticket today (July 6).
Bodhi bottles will hit store shelves a few weeks after the release event, with four-packs retailing for $9.99.
