Land-Grant Brewing Company is releasing another new brew this week, Skull Session Scarlet Lager.

According to a statement from the brewery, “a Skull Session is known as one last strategy opportunity before the big game, and for the Columbus, Ohio based Land-Grant Brewing, it’s a tip of the hat to tradition, preparation, and perfect formation.”

The beer is described as a light drinking, malt forward Scarlet Lager that draws its ruddy hue from vienna and amber caramel malts, and its mostly traditional hop profile of Perle and Tettnang gets a dash of American flare via the addition of Cascade. With a 5.5% alcohol by volume, is a Scarlet Lager by name and color.

“As the season continues to change and most beers are getting darker, we wanted to brew a refreshing lager to take in the last few games of 2016 here in Columbus and beyond,” said Adam Benner, Land-Grant Brewing’s founder.

Skull Session will be available for purchase on tap and in six-packs at the Land-Grant taproom, as well as craft beer retailers throughout the Columbus area, beginning Friday, November 18 and at bottle shops throughout Columbus beginning Monday, November 21. Six packs will retail for $9.99.
