Work has officially began on the new Ill Mannered Brewing Co. facility that was announced last year.

The site was cleared earlier this week with construction for the new brewery scheduled to begin next week. Ill Mannered hopes to have the new 3,000 square foot space finished by August.

In addition to a 1,500 square foot taproom and a 1,500 square foot brewing space, the new Ill Mannered will have a nearly 1,000 square foot patio featuring a fire pit and food truck parking.

“This day has been a long time in the works and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Ill Mannered Chief Mad Man and Head Brewer Tom Ayers in a statement. “With the construction of this new facility we are proud to show our commitment to and passion for the community of Powell as its neighborhood brewery since 2015. We have incorporated both customer feedback and our experience brewing in our current space into the new building to maximize the customer experience while maintaining the immersive small, local, brewery look and feel.”

To celebrate breaking ground on the new facility, Ill Mannered will be hosting a ceremonial groundbreaking party on Wednesday, February 28 at 4pm featuring a new beer infusion, 2016 Barrel Aged
Tremendous Slouch Wee Heavy.

Ill Mannered Brewing Co. is located at 30 Grace Dr in Powell.
