The results are in with Columbus brewers representing well in the first Ohio Craft Brewers Cup, which was judged this past week in Dayton.
The event was organized and hosted by Dayton Beer Company’s Pete Hilgeman. More than 200 entries from a total of 40 Ohio craft brewers vied for Gold, Silver and Bronze in 23 categories.
Below are a list of medal winners from Central Ohio. Wolf’s Ridge also took Best Central Ohio Brewery honors. Finishing at the very top of the heap was Market Garden Prosperity Wheat, winning Best of Show as Ohio’s Best Beer for 2018. The full results can be viewed online.
Hilgeman says he is gratified with the support, quality and outcome of this inaugural event and hopes to organize a beer festival showcasing the winning beers to close out future Ohio Craft Brewers Cups.
