If you’re seeking a new setting for your mid-week libations, you may want to explore the picturesque scenery available at Franklin Park every Thursday for Cocktails at the Conservatory.
Cocktails at the Conservatory started in September 2008 after the completion of renovations that yielded new event space in the form of two rooftop gardens and the John F. Wolfe Palm House light installation by James Turrell.
“The event has a relaxed vibe and attracts all ages,” said Alana Manwaring, Marketing Assistant at Franklin Park Conservatory. “Cocktails features live music every week, and sometimes special entertainment like a comedian or magician. Every week is different, sometimes CD101 will stop by, we’ll have guest bartenders, or we’ll partner with a liquor company to offer tastings and drink specials.”
“You can enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Conservatory, wander through plant and art collections and view current exhibitions, all while having a drink or two with friends and enjoying live music,” said Manwaring. “It’s safe to say the venue doesn’t compare to anything else in Columbus, whether the bar is indoors in the 1895 John F. Wolfe Palm House or outdoors on the rooftop gardens or West Terrace.”
Admission is $11 (which is the daily adult admission price) and you receive $10 in food and drink tokens. Reserved tables are available at additional cost, call (614) 645-1800 to reserve.
Cocktails at the Conservatory takes place every Thursday yearround from 5:30-10 pm. Parking is free. You must be 21+ to attend.
