Columbus residents will no longer have to have their friends and family bring back a case of Yuengling when they visit a neighboring state – on October 3rd, Yuengling will be available in Columbus.

To accommodate the needs of the state, Yuengling Lager, Light Lager and Black & Tan are being rolled out in two stages. Yuengling will be available in Columbus and Cleveland in October, while the rest of the state will follow in November. Several Central Ohio bars are currently planning tapping parties for 10/3, including all of the Betty’s family of restaurants (Betty’s, Dirty Franks, Tip Top and Jury Room), Holy Smoke BBQ and Buffalo Wild Wings (Lane Ave).

Ohio is currently the only state to border Yuengling’s home state of Pennsylvania where the beer is not distributed. Capacity was added to Yuengling’s Mill Creek Brewery in order to accommodate the expected demand in Ohio, the 14th state in the brewery’s distribution footprint.

Check out what folks in Columbus shared with us a few months ago about Yuengling.
