When you think “Whole Foods” you might think organic kale or natural quinoa (whatever that is), but the new Whole Foods Market in Upper Arlington will be home to something a little less expected: a bar.

The bar, dubbed “The Social,” will serve craft beer on tap and wine by the glass, in addition to fresh brewed organic coffee.

The first 200 people who arrive for happy hour (4pm) on opening day, Wednesday, March 6, will receive a free glass growler (you gotta buy the beer.)

Opening day drafts include several Ohio tap handles, like Columbus Brewing IPA, Elevator X-tra, Elevator Horny Goat, Great Lakes Chocolate Raspberry Porter and Great Lakes Triple Dog Dare, as well as other American crafts like Brooklyn Irish Stout, FatHead’s Head Trip, Bell’s Amber, Founder’s Red’s Rye and Julian Hard Cider.

The Social will be open daily from 7am-9pm. Happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-7pm will offer $1 off pints and wine pours.

The Social is located inside Whole Foods Market at 1555 W. Lane Ave.
