Lovers of local beer, wine and spirits (and I’m pretty sure that’s all of you or else you’re on the wrong website) rejoice – the Grandview Chamber of Commerce is putting on the third annual Digfest – that’s Drinks in Grandview Fest – featuring all your favorite local brewers, distillers and vitners.
Of the local Columbus Breweries, Digfest will have… all. From A-Z. Actual, Barley’s, Buckeye Lake, Columbus, Elevator, Four String, Granville, Hoof Hearted, Hoster, North High, Rockmill, Seventh Son AND Zauber.
Watershed and Middle West will both be at the event mixing up cocktails with their locally-crafted spirits. And area wineries Buckeye Winery, Camelot Cellars and Signature Wines will also be present pouring vino.
A variety of food trucks and other snack vendors will be on-hand, including Buckeye Hall of Fame Grill, Leslie’s Creperie, Honeykiss Bakery, Marshall’s, Raising Cane’s, Sweet! The Mobile Cupcakery, Schmidt’s Sausage Haus and Whole Foods Market.
You can even bring home some unique drink-themed art from local crafters, like a beer label necklace from Beaddawg, an octopus bottle coozie from The Pink Woobie, a unique growler bag from State of Devotion and more.
Entertainment will be provided by Forest and The Evergreens, Dan White Sextet and Post Coma. Oh, and Drink Up Columbus will be hosting a celebrity bartender contest around 8:45, so be sure to stick around to see who we bring and what they mix up!
Digfest will take place on June 15 from 4pm-10:30pm at Grandview Yard, with an afterparty slated for Woodland’s Backyard. Entrance to Digfest is free, with tickets available for $3 each – one ticket will get you a sample, two tickets are good for a full pour. The Digfest folks will also be selling tickets and giving away t-shirts at the Drink Up Columbus anniversary party

Just want to say, although well run and clean, this was one of the worst beer festivals I’ve ever been too. Plenty of brewers but poor selection and just really not good beers. Free cane’s chicken though, which I’ve never had but delicious. Schmidts was there and they rock. Wont harsh on other styles since I only prefer ipa and stouts but the selection was terrible when it comes to those. Four String brewing had a specialty ipa that was very good. Columbus brewings ipa and double ipa “bodhi” are great beers but I wasn’t willing to pay the price needed since those can be found everywhere in cbus regularly though I’m glad they were there for out of towners in case they came. The columbus beer festival is great with a great selection, I would recommend dodging this one and going there. Also, drakes meadery, fantastic. The music was also really really awesome and worth mentioning check the grandview page for band names. Peace.
