Grandview has a new hub for fresh, local beer – The Ohio Taproom opened its doors Saturday, offering twenty beers on tap, all of which are from Ohio.
The rotating selection of Ohio-brewed beers are available in 64 or 32 oz growlers, with small samples of any beer available upon request. The Taproom uses a special growler filler system called CrafTaps designed to reduce wasted beer and speed up filling time.
The Ohio Taproom also sells snacks and other goods crafted in Ohio, such as custom-made growler bags and jewelry from State of Devotion, pie sliced from Honeykiss Bakery, BBQ sauce from Cousins Utility Sauce and Wild Joe’s Beef Jerky.
At the moment the Taproom is to-go only but in the future will likely add the second restroom necessary for on-premise consumption in the near future, as well as a possible patio. The interior space is small but cozy and definitely a spot I’d consider hanging around in for a pint or two.
The Ohio Taproom is opened Monday-Thursday from 12-8pm, Friday and Saturday from 11am-9pm and Sunday from 12-4pm. The Taproom is located at the intersection of Third Ave and Northwest Boulevard at 1291 W. Third. A current draft list is available on their website.
