You’ve gotta love a local collaboration – tonight North High Brewing will release a Belgian Dubbel that has aged in a Middle West Spirits OYO Bourbon barrel.
“Our Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Dubbel was brewed with love six months ago,” said North High brewmaster Charlie Davis in an email. “We put it in an OYO Bourbon Barrel and waited for it to grow up into a beautiful display of oak, char and whiskey. There also are some subtle notes of fruit in the background that can only be attained by the aging process. It isn’t often we get to have fun with a beer like this and so we’re pretty excited about it!”
The keg will tap tonight at 6pm at North High Brewing. North High is located at 1288 N. High Street.
