high gravity hullabalooThe Grandview Craft Beer Alliance will host their first event on February 1 celebrating strong beers and smoked meats – and seriously, isn’t that the craft beer event you’ve always dreamed about?

At the Grandview High Gravity Hullabaloo, several local breweries will serve up rare and exclusive beer samples on the “strong” side of the spectrum. Participating breweries include The Actual Brewing Company, Barley’s Smokehouse, Four String Brewing, Hoof Hearted Brewing, Elevator Brewing, North High Brewing and Seventh Son Brewing, plus brand-new brewery Zaftig Brewing.

Tickets include virtually unlimited beer samples from all breweries, smoked meat (a whole pig smoked at Barley’s Smokehouse) and other snacks from Matt the Miller’s Tavern and Honeykiss Bakery, plus a collectible glass and commemorative t-shirt. Tickets are limited, at $50 and available online. The event will take place Saturday, February 1 at 925 W. Burrell, near Grandview Yard, starting at 6pm.

The Grandview Craft Beer Alliance was launched last month by Drink Up Columbus’ own Laura Oldham (hey, gurrrl), Doug Oldham and Jamie Gentry, with the mission of promoting breweries and craft beer businesses in Grandview Heights and Central Ohio.
