Quietly creeping into the Columbus brewery scene at the end of 2013 is Sideswipe Brewing, a nanobrewery just west of Grandview Heights who announced their imminent launch with a(n unsuccessful) Kickstarter campaign to fund their taproom back in November.
Now operational on a five-barrel brewing system, Sideswipe is selling its three flagship beers – Elegant Hoodlum Smoke Stout, Fisticuffs IPA and Coop Looter Saision – in 22 oz. bottles at area bars and retail stores.
Retailers stocking Sideswipe currently include Ale Wine and Spirits, The Barrel and Bottle, Country Carry-Out, Gentile’s, Grain + Grape, Hills Market, The Ohio Taproom, Palmer’s Beverage Center, Savor Market, Savor Growl, Weiland’s Market and Wine on High. Bars with the beer include Barley’s Smokehouse and Brewpub, Liberty Tavern and Oldfield’s Tavern.
Check back soon for our reviews of these new brews!
