Good news, local beer enthusiasts. A new study from personal finance site NerdWallet shows that Columbus is the 7th lease expensive city for beer drinkers in the US.
The study compares the cost of a six-pack of Heineken, factoring in median income, state beer taxes and the level of alcohol consumption per state. While most of our readers aren’t regularly downing Heinekens, it’s an interesting data set of beer taxes (Ohio has one of the lowers at $0.18 per gallon), consumption levels and income variance, and is likely reflective of the relative cost of other beers, too.
