Zauber Brewing will host a Maifest celebration featuring Grandview breweries and German festivities on Saturday, May 10.
Maifest is the traditional German celebration of the arrival of spring. Maifest is akin to Oktoberfest, except, well, in May. Obviously.
Zauber’s Maifest celebration will feature their own beers, plus beer from neighboring breweries Four String, Sideswipe and Barley’s Smokehouse. Schmidt’s Sausage Haus will be bringing their food truck full of German fare, plus other food offerings from Matt the Miller’s and Jeni’s Ice Cream will be available. A polka band and a traditional may pole will round out the German theme. Grandview’s Watershed Distillery will also be featuring special cocktails inside Zauber’s taproom during and after the event.
Maifest will take place Saturday, May 10 from 3-8pm in the Goodwill parking lot next door to Zauber’s 909 W. Fifth Ave bar. There is no admission fee (pay for what you drink and eat) and the event is family-friendly. Maifest is presented in partnership with the Grandview Craft Beer Alliance, with promotional consideration from The Ohio Taproom.
full disclosure: Zauber Brewing and Schmidt’s are clients of my company
