When news broke that Columbus was being considered for Stone Brewing’s planned east coast expansion, people in Central Ohio went nuts. It was all over TV, radio, newspapers and social media for days. Hell, it still is.
Nothing is set in stone (rimshot) yet, but a few Columbusites are doing everything they can to convince the brewery to break ground in the 614.
As part of their efforts, which include an active stone2cbus Twitter handle and hashtag, they are working with Stone’s local distributor to get as many bars and restaurants in Columbus to tap a keg of Stone on August 2, dubbed “Tap A Stone Day.”
Participating bars so far include 16-Bit Bar+Arcade, Bob’s Bar, The Daily Growler (both locations) Dirty Frank’s (both locations), House Wine, Little Palace, Local Bar, Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza, The Pint House, Strongwater, Surly Girl, Tip Top, Yellow Brick Pizza and Zauber Brewing. Bars interested in getting on board should contact their Cavalier rep.
You can RSVP to Tap a Stone Day on Facebook for an updated list of participating bars.
