SweetWater Brewing launch events in Columbus

sweetwater-columbusAtlanta’s SweetWater Brewing debuts in Central Ohio next week with tap takeovers and tastings all over Columbus.

SweetWater, the 19th largest craft brewery in the country, is best known for their 420 Extra Pale Ale, a west coast-style pale. The brewery has won several medals for its beers at the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup, among other competitions.

SweetWater will initially launch with four beers in the Buckeye State: 420, SweetWater IPA, SweetWater Blue and Take Two Pils, though a few extra will be available during select launch events. Look for their trout taps at the following events planned throughout the week:

Monday, October 6
Whole Foods Dublin 6 food pairings with 6 SweetWater beers – 6pm

Tuesday, October 7
Woodlands Tavern Official Launch Party with the SweetWater crew – 6pm

Wednesday, October 8
Park Street Tavern Cbusr meetup – 6pm
Pies and Pints Tap takeover – 6pm
Pint House Tap takeover – 6pm
16-Bit Bar + Arcade brewery spotlight and high score video game challenges – 8pm

Thursday, October 9
Blacklick Wine and Spirits tasting – 6pm
Daily Growler Upper Arlington tap takeover – 6pm
Bobs Bar tap takeover – 8pm

Friday, October 10
Aficionado’s tasting – 6pm

Saturday, October 11
Brothers Bar brewery spotlight

Sunday, October 12
World of Beer Brewery District brewery spotlight

SweetWater has already launched in Cincinnati and will debut in Cleveland and Akron a week after the Columbus launch. The distribution extension into Ohio brings SweetWater’s availability up to 12 states.
